Writing for Kids: Books that teach, books that soar, books that entertain!

Karen Taha was born in Arkansas and now lives most of the time in Tucson, Arizona. In between, she has lived in Spain, Mexico, Egypt, and Kuwait. Karen has worked as a Spanish and English-as-a-Second-Language teacher, a translator and a school library media specialist. Karen and her husband have fun hiking, riding bikes, travelling, and, of course, reading books.

They have three children and two grandchildren who all like to read too. Karen is the author of A Gift for Tia Rosa, a "Reading Rainbow" review book, and Marshmallow Muscles, Banana Brainstorms, selected as an ALA Best Book for Reluctant Readers. She co-authored Name That Book! for teachers and librarians. Her early reader is Hotdog on TV.
